A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE BLUE AND WHITE FOUNDATION

The Blue and White Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides at-risk children with the proper resources and opportunities to cultivate success. We hope we can count on your support to help us ensure that at-risk children are exposed to educational opportunities, mentorship programs, and culturally diverse environments, which will empower and encourage future success.

Mission Statement:
The Blue and White Foundation Inc. serves the community by providing at-risk children with the proper resources and opportunities
to cultivate success.

Vision Statement:
The Blue and White Foundation Inc. will ensure that at-risk children are exposed to educational opportunities, mentorship programs, and culturally diverse environments, empowering and encouraging future success.

We have four EVIDENCED BASED annual events:

  • The Harold Washington Book Voucher Scholarship is issued to graduating seniors within the Chicago-land area who have exhibited high academic achievement and are attending a four-year university or college.  The student is awarded a scholarship that covers the entire cost of their books for their first two semesters of college.

  • The Shop with a Sigma Essay competition was formed to give the students an additional avenue to compete academically amongst their peers and provide coats and additional clothing during the winter months.

  • The B&W Spring College Tour provides early exposure for eight grade students to college students from the same social and economic environment, significantly increasing the awareness and confidence of students seeking to attend college.

  • The B&W Black Male Mentoring Weekend provides the foundation with an opportunity to extend our personal and professional experiences to those in the community.  This is accomplished through mentoring those in the community by forming a relationship that brings forth awareness of the community's strengths and limitations, thereby establishing a legacy of reaching back and community empowerment.  The B&W Black Male Mentoring Weekend occurs during year-round weekend workshops. The workshops include concentrations on STEM activities, manhood seminars, grooming seminars, conflict resolution, identifying domestic violence, interaction with law enforcement, etc.

WE HAVE 100% RETENTION WITHIN OUR MENTORING PROGRAM!
